Cut an X on the flat side of each chestnut.

In a large saucepan, bring water and salt to a boil.

Add the chestnuts and boil for 10 minutes.

Drain the chestnuts and let them cool for 5 minutes.

Peel the chestnuts while they are still warm.

Place the peeled chestnuts on a baking sheet.

Melt the butter in a small saucepan and brush it over the chestnuts.

Sprinkle with rosemary.

Roast in the preheated oven for 10 minutes, or until golden brown.
