  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, yeast, salt, and sugar. Mix well.
  2. Gradually add water and olive oil to the dry ingredients. Mix until a soft dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 5 minutes, until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  5. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  6. Punch down the dough and divide it into 8 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a rope and shape it into a pretzel.
  7. In a small bowl, mix together paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  8. Dip each pretzel into the spice mixture, making sure to coat it well.
  9. Place the pretzels on the prepared baking sheet and sprinkle with coarse salt.
  10. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
  11. Remove from the oven and let the pretzels cool slightly before serving.
