  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add chopped onion, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Cook until onion turns translucent.
  2. Add cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Stir well.
  3. Add chopped tomatoes and cook for 5 minutes.
  4. Pour vegetable broth and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes.
  5. Use an immersion blender or transfer the soup to a blender to puree until smooth.
  6. Return the soup to the pot and simmer for another 5 minutes.
  7. Stir in fresh cilantro and lemon juice.
  8. Serve hot and enjoy!
