Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x9-inch baking dish.

In a large bowl, combine the flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, baking powder, and salt. Mix well.

Add the applesauce, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Stir until well combined.

Fold in the raisins and chopped nuts.

Pour the batter into the greased baking dish and spread it evenly.

Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
