Stir in the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, dried basil, dried oregano, salt, black pepper, and sugar. Bring the sauce to a simmer and let it cook for 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally.

While the sauce is simmering, cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.

Once the sauce is ready, remove it from the heat and let it rest for 5 minutes.

Serve the cooked spaghetti with the sauce on top. Garnish with fresh basil leaves and grated Parmesan cheese.
