Bean burgers are a popular alternative to meat burgers and are a great source of plant-based protein.

  1. Drain and rinse the canned beans.
  2. In a food processor, combine the beans, onion, garlic cloves, breadcrumbs, flaxseed meal, water, cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Pulse until well combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into patties and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Heat olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  5. Toast the burger buns in a toaster or on a grill.
  6. Assemble the burgers by placing a patty on the bottom half of each bun. Top with lettuce, tomato, red onion, and pickles. Cover with the top half of the bun.
  7. Serve the bean burgers with your favorite side dish and enjoy!
