Red Lentil Dhal
Red lentils are a great source of plant-based protein and are commonly used in Indian cuisine for their nutty flavor and creamy texture.

Rinse the red lentils under cold water.

In a large pot, add the lentils and water. Bring to a boil and then simmer for 20 minutes.

In a separate pan, heat the oil and add chopped onion, garlic, and ginger. Cook until golden brown.

Add the chopped tomato and cook for another 2 minutes.

Add the ground turmeric, cumin, coriander, garam masala, and salt to the pan. Stir well.

Transfer the cooked lentils to the pan and mix everything together.

Cook for another 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Remove from heat and let it rest for 5 minutes.

Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and lemon juice.

Serve hot with rice or naan bread.
