Tofu, also known as bean curd, is made by coagulating soy milk and pressing the resulting curds into soft white blocks. It originated in China over 2,000 years ago and has since become a popular ingredient in vegetarian and vegan dishes worldwide.

  1. Press tofu to remove excess water.
  2. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, honey, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Cut tofu into slices and marinate in the mixture for 10 minutes.
  4. Preheat a grill pan over medium heat and brush with vegetable oil.
  5. Grill tofu for 5 minutes on each side, or until grill marks appear.
  6. Garnish with sliced scallions and sesame seeds.
  7. Serve hot.
