Trim the ends of the green beans and blanch them in boiling salted water for 2 minutes. Drain and set aside.

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add sliced onion and minced garlic. Cook until onion is translucent and garlic is fragrant.

Add the blanched green beans to the skillet and season with salt and black pepper. Stir-fry for 5-7 minutes, until the green beans are tender-crisp.

Remove from heat and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
