In a saucepan, combine sugar and water. Heat over medium heat until the sugar dissolves.

Sprinkle gelatin over the mixture and let it sit for 5 minutes.

Stir in vanilla extract and green food coloring.

Pour the mixture into a greased Christmas tree-shaped mold.

Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until set.

Once set, remove from the mold and place on a serving platter.

Dust with powdered sugar and decorate with edible decorations.
