Naturally Gluten Free Macaroons
Macaroons are believed to have originated in Italy and then gained popularity in France. They are traditionally made with almond paste and egg whites, but this gluten-free version replaces the wheat flour with almond flour.

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded coconut, almond flour, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix well until the mixture holds together.

Using your hands or a cookie scoop, form the mixture into small macaroons and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the macaroons turn golden brown.

Optional: Melt the dairy-free chocolate chips in a microwave or on the stovetop. Drizzle the melted chocolate over the cooled macaroons.
