Chickpeas, also known as garbanzo beans, are one of the oldest cultivated crops and have been a staple in many cuisines for thousands of years.

Heat oil in a pan and sauté onions until golden brown.

Add garlic, ginger, and green chili. Sauté for a minute.

Add tomatoes and cook until they soften.

Add turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala, and salt. Mix well.

Add chickpeas and simmer for 15-20 minutes.

Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
