Maple Baked Beans

Soak the dried navy beans in water overnight.

Drain the soaked beans and rinse.

Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C).

In a large pot, combine the soaked beans, onion, garlic cloves, maple syrup, molasses, mustard, ketchup, salt, black pepper, and water.

Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 10 minutes.

Transfer the bean mixture to a baking dish and cover with aluminum foil.

Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour.

Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 30 minutes, or until the beans are tender and the sauce has thickened.
