Macrobiotic Fried Rice with Doubanjiang
Doubanjiang is a popular Chinese condiment made from fermented broad beans, soybeans, and chili peppers. It adds a rich and spicy flavor to dishes.

Heat vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over medium heat.

Add garlic, ginger, and green onions. Stir-fry for 1 minute.

Add carrots and peas. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until vegetables are tender.

Push vegetables to one side of the wok and add Doubanjiang. Stir-fry for 1 minute.

Add cooked brown rice and tamari or soy sauce. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until rice is heated through.

Drizzle with toasted sesame oil and season with salt and black pepper. Stir-fry for another minute.

Remove from heat and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
