In a medium bowl, whisk together the whole wheat flour, baking powder, and salt.

In a large bowl, mix together the unsweetened applesauce, sugar, vanilla extract, almond milk, and white vinegar.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.
