Hasselback potatoes were first created in the 1700s at the Hasselbacken restaurant in Stockholm, Sweden.

Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).

Slice the potatoes into thin, even slices, being careful not to cut all the way through.

Place the potatoes on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Drizzle olive oil over the potatoes, making sure to get it in between the slices.

Sprinkle garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper over the potatoes.

Bake for 45-60 minutes, or until the potatoes are crispy and golden brown.

Remove from the oven and let rest for 5 minutes.

Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
