Trim the ends of the green beans and cut them into bite-sized pieces.

Clean the shiitake mushrooms and slice them.

Heat the sesame oil in a wok or large skillet over medium heat.

Add the garlic and stir-fry for 1 minute until fragrant.

Add the green beans and shiitake mushrooms to the wok and stir-fry for 5-7 minutes until tender.

Season with soy sauce, salt, and black pepper.

Continue to stir-fry for another 2 minutes.
