  1. Bring a pot of salted water to boil. Add the green beans and cook for 3-4 minutes until crisp-tender.
  2. Drain the beans and transfer them to a bowl of ice water to stop the cooking process. Drain again.
  3. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the green beans and sauté for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add the lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Continue to sauté for another 2 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat and let it rest for 5 minutes.
  6. Serve the green beans with lemon and oil hot as a side dish.
