Boil the black eyed peas until tender. Drain and set aside.

In a pan, heat olive oil and sauté onion and garlic until translucent.

Add the cooked black eyed peas, cumin, paprika, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper to the pan. Cook for a few minutes.

Transfer the mixture to a blender or food processor and blend until smooth.
