  4. Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
  5. Using a small ice cream scoop or spoon, drop small portions of dough into the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes.
  6. Remove the doughnut holes from the oil and drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
  7. Allow the doughnut holes to cool for a few minutes.
  8. Roll the doughnut holes in powdered sugar until coated.
