Preheat the grill or toaster.

Slice the baguette into 1/2-inch thick slices.

Brush both sides of the bread slices with olive oil.

Grill or toast the bread slices until golden brown.

Cut the tomatoes into small cubes.

In a bowl, combine the tomatoes, minced garlic, chopped basil leaves, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt, and black pepper.
