Blanch the tomatoes in boiling water for 1 minute, then transfer them to an ice bath. Peel off the skins and remove the seeds.

Heat olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and garlic, and sauté until golden brown.

Add the chopped tomatoes and chili peppers to the saucepan. Stir in sugar, salt, black pepper, and white vinegar.
