Homemade Gluten-Free Naan Bread
Naan bread is a staple in Indian cuisine and is traditionally cooked in a tandoor, a clay oven.
This is vegan and gluten free recipe. Dish can be prepared in 95 minutes. Recipe requires some culinary experience (medium difficulty). Number of ingredients: 10.

In a small bowl, combine yeast, sugar, and warm water. Let it sit for 5 minutes.

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together gluten-free flour blend, salt, and baking powder.

Add the yeast mixture, yogurt, and olive oil to the dry ingredients. Mix well to form a soft dough.

Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 5 minutes, until smooth and elastic.

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rest for 1 hour.

Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium heat.

Divide the dough into 6 equal portions and shape each portion into a round ball.

Roll out each ball into an oval or round shape, about 1/4 inch thick.

Brush one side of the naan with water and place it on the grill, water side down.

Cook for about 2 minutes, until bubbles form on the surface.

Flip the naan and cook for another 2 minutes, until golden brown and cooked through.

Remove from the grill and brush with melted butter or olive oil.

Repeat with the remaining dough portions.

Serve hot, garnished with minced garlic and fresh cilantro.
