Falafel I
Falafel is a popular street food in the Middle East and is often served in a pita bread with tahini sauce and salad.
This is vegan, gluten free and high protein recipe. Dish can be prepared in 60 minutes. Recipe requires some culinary experience (medium difficulty). Number of ingredients: 12.

Soak the chickpeas overnight in water. Drain and rinse.

In a food processor, combine the chickpeas, onion, garlic, parsley, cilantro, cumin, coriander, baking powder, salt, and black pepper. Process until well combined but still slightly chunky.

Transfer the mixture to a bowl and stir in the flour until the mixture holds together.

Shape the mixture into small balls or patties.

Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Fry the falafel until golden brown and crispy on all sides.

Remove from the pan and let rest for 5 minutes.

Serve hot with tahini sauce, pita bread, and salad.
