In a large pot, heat sesame oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and ginger, and sauté for 2 minutes.

Add corn kernels and vegetable broth to the pot. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.

Cut tofu into small cubes and add to the pot. Cook for another 5 minutes.

Season with soy sauce, salt, and black pepper. Stir well.

Remove from heat and let the soup rest for 5 minutes.
