  1. Soak the yellow split peas in water for 4-6 hours. Drain.
  2. In a blender, grind the soaked split peas to a coarse paste.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the ground split peas, flour, turmeric powder, cumin, coriander, salt, and water. Knead to form a soft dough.
  4. Divide the dough into small balls and roll each ball into a thin circle.
  5. Heat a griddle or frying pan over medium heat. Cook each circle of dough on the griddle, brushing with oil on both sides until golden brown.
  6. Serve hot with curry or chutney.
