Dates are one of the oldest cultivated fruits and have been a staple food in the Middle East for thousands of years.

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Pit the dates and chop them into small pieces.
  3. Peel and core the apples, then dice them into small cubes.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine the almond flour, oats, coconut oil, maple syrup, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix well to form a crumbly mixture.
  5. Take half of the crumbly mixture and press it into the bottom of a greased baking dish to form a crust.
  6. Spread the chopped dates and diced apples evenly over the crust.
  7. Sprinkle the remaining crumbly mixture over the top.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
  9. Remove from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before cutting into squares.
  10. Serve and enjoy!
