In a mixing bowl, combine chickpea flour, chopped onion, minced garlic, chopped green chili, oregano leaves, salt, and water. Mix well to form a thick batter.

Heat oil in a deep pan for frying.

Drop spoonfuls of the batter into the hot oil and fry until golden brown and crispy.

Remove the bhajis from the oil and drain on a paper towel.
