Chickpea curry, also known as Chana Masala, is a popular dish in Indian cuisine and is often enjoyed with rice or bread.

Heat oil in a pan and add chopped onion, garlic, and ginger. Saute until onion turns golden brown.

Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they turn mushy.

Add turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well.

Drain and rinse the chickpeas. Add them to the pan and mix well.

Add water, cover the pan, and simmer for 20 minutes.

Garnish with fresh cilantro and garam masala.

Serve hot with rice or naan bread.
