  2. In a pressure cooker, add soaked chana dal, water, turmeric powder, and salt. Cook for 3-4 whistles.
  3. Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds.
  4. Add chopped onions, ginger, and garlic. Saute until onions turn golden brown.
  5. Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they turn mushy.
  6. Add spinach and cook until wilted.
  7. Add red chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, and garam masala. Mix well.
  8. Add the cooked chana dal and mix everything together.
  9. Cook for another 5 minutes.
  10. Serve hot with rice or roti.
