  2. Add the onion, garlic, and red bell pepper. Cook until softened.
  3. Add the carrots, chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Stir well.
  4. Pour in the crushed tomatoes and vegetable broth. Bring to a simmer.
  5. Cover and let it cook for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Add the kidney beans and cook for another 10 minutes.
  7. Remove from heat and let it rest for 10 minutes.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with cilantro.
