Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

Slice the baguette into 1/2-inch thick slices.

Toast the baguette slices in the preheated oven for 5 minutes, or until lightly golden.

Meanwhile, dice the tomatoes and finely chop the garlic cloves.

In a bowl, combine the diced tomatoes, chopped garlic, torn basil leaves, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt, and black pepper.

Remove the toasted baguette slices from the oven and let them cool slightly.

Spoon the tomato mixture onto each baguette slice.
