Brazilian pepper, also known as pink peppercorn, is not a true pepper but rather a dried berry from the Brazilian pepper tree.

  4. Add the vegetable broth, Brazilian pepper, and salt. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 15-20 minutes, or until the rice is tender and the liquid is absorbed.
  5. Remove the saucepan from the heat and let the rice rest, covered, for 5 minutes.
  6. Fluff the rice with a fork and garnish with chopped cilantro before serving.
