  1. In a large bowl, mash the black beans until mostly smooth. Add the corn, breadcrumbs, red onion, garlic cloves, cumin, chili powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
  2. Form the mixture into patties and place on a plate. Refrigerate for 15 minutes.
  3. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Cook the patties for 4-5 minutes on each side, until golden brown.
  4. Toast the burger buns.
  5. Assemble the burgers by placing a patty on the bottom bun, followed by lettuce, tomato, and avocado. Top with the other half of the bun.
  6. Serve and enjoy!
