Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.

In a large bowl, combine the whole wheat bran, whole wheat flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.

In another bowl, mix together the almond milk, maple syrup, applesauce, and vanilla extract.

Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Fold in the chopped nuts and raisins.

Spoon the batter into the muffin tin, filling each cup about 3/4 full.

Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a muffin comes out clean.

Allow the muffins to cool in the tin for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
