Beetroot Rice
Beetroot rice is a popular dish in Indian cuisine and is often served during festive occasions due to its vibrant color.

Wash and peel the beetroot. Grate it and keep it aside.

Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.

Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Once they splutter, add chopped onions, garlic, and ginger. Saute until onions turn translucent.

Add grated beetroot and cook for 5 minutes.

Add turmeric powder, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well.

Add rice and water. Stir gently to combine.

Cover the pan and cook on low heat for 15-20 minutes or until the rice is cooked and the water is absorbed.

Remove from heat and let it rest for 5 minutes.

Fluff the rice with a fork and garnish with chopped cilantro.
