Rinse the dried pinto beans and soak them in water overnight.

Drain the soaked beans and rinse again.

In a large pot, heat some oil over medium heat.

Add chopped onion and minced garlic cloves, sauté until translucent.

Add the soaked beans, vegetable broth, and beer to the pot.

Stir in cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper.

Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and cover the pot.

Simmer for about 1 hour or until the beans are tender.

Remove from heat and let it rest for 10 minutes.
