Bean Burgers
Bean burgers are a popular vegetarian alternative to traditional meat burgers, providing a good source of plant-based protein and fiber.

Rinse and drain the black beans.

In a large bowl, mash the black beans with a fork.

Add breadcrumbs, finely chopped onion, minced garlic, ground cumin, chili powder, salt, and black pepper to the bowl.

Mix well until all ingredients are combined.

Add the egg to the mixture and mix again.

Shape the mixture into patties.

Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.

Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, until golden brown.

Remove the patties from the pan and let them rest for 5 minutes.

Toast the burger buns.

Assemble the burgers by placing a patty on each bun, followed by lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickles.
