In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onion, carrot, celery, and garlic. Cook until vegetables are softened, about 5 minutes.

Stir in tomato paste, oregano, basil, salt, and black pepper. Cook for 1 minute.

Add cannellini beans and vegetable broth. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes.
