In a bowl, combine barbecue sauce, soy sauce, minced garlic, olive oil, salt, and black pepper.

Cut tempeh into thin slices and bell peppers into strips.

Marinate tempeh and bell peppers in the sauce mixture for at least 30 minutes.

Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.

Grill the marinated tempeh and bell peppers for about 5 minutes on each side, or until nicely charred.

Remove from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes.

Serve hot with additional barbecue sauce if desired.
