  1. Preheat the grill or oven to medium-high heat.
  2. Trim the woody ends of the asparagus and cut them into bite-sized pieces.
  3. In a bowl, toss the asparagus with olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Grill or roast the asparagus for about 8-10 minutes, until tender and slightly charred.
  5. While the asparagus is cooking, slice the pears into thin wedges.
  6. Once the asparagus is done, remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
  7. Spread a thin layer of goat cheese on each pear wedge.
  8. Top each pear wedge with a piece of grilled asparagus.
  9. Garnish with crushed walnuts and drizzle with honey.
  10. Serve as a delicious appetizer or snack.
