  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Slice the top off each garlic clove to expose the cloves.
  3. Place the garlic cloves in a baking dish.
  4. Drizzle olive oil over the garlic cloves.
  5. Sprinkle salt and black pepper over the garlic cloves.
  6. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 20 minutes.
  7. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes.
  8. While the garlic is baking, slice the French bread into thick slices.
  9. Brush olive oil on both sides of each bread slice.
  10. Toast the bread slices in a preheated skillet until golden brown.
  11. Remove the garlic cloves from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes.
  12. Squeeze the roasted garlic cloves out of their skins and spread them on the toasted bread slices.
  13. Garnish with fresh parsley.
  14. Serve warm and enjoy!
