In a bowl, combine the okra, onion, scotch bonnet pepper, garlic, salt, black pepper, baking powder, and water.

Mix well until the batter is smooth.

Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan.

Drop spoonfuls of the batter into the hot oil and fry until golden brown.

Remove from the oil and drain on paper towels.
