Peel and chop the sweet potatoes, onion, and garlic cloves.

Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.

Add the chopped onion and garlic cloves to the pot and sauté until fragrant.

Add the sweet potatoes, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper to the pot. Stir well to coat the sweet potatoes with the spices.

Pour in the vegetable broth and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for about 20 minutes, or until the sweet potatoes are tender.
