Caramelized Pear and Arugula Salad
Pears are one of the few fruits that do not ripen on the tree. They are harvested when mature but still hard and then left to ripen at room temperature.
This is vegan and gluten free recipe. Dish can be prepared in 35 minutes. Recipe requires some culinary experience (medium difficulty). Number of ingredients: 10.

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Slice the pears in half and remove the cores.

In a small bowl, mix together olive oil, balsamic vinegar, honey, salt, and black pepper.

Brush the pear halves with the mixture and place them on a baking sheet. Roast in the oven for about 10-12 minutes, or until they are caramelized.

In a large bowl, combine arugula, thinly sliced red onion, and walnuts.

Drizzle the remaining dressing over the salad and toss to coat.

Divide the salad onto plates and top each serving with a caramelized pear half.

Crumble goat cheese over the top.
