Sheree’s Vegetable/ Potato Samosas
Samosas are believed to have originated in the Middle East and were introduced to the Indian subcontinent by traders.
This is vegan recipe. Dish can be prepared in 50 minutes. Recipe requires some culinary experience (medium difficulty). Number of ingredients: 15.

Boil the potatoes, peas, and carrots until tender. Drain and mash them.

Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds, green chili, ginger, and garlic. Saute for a minute.

Add chopped onions and cook until golden brown.

Add mashed vegetables, coriander powder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder, and salt. Mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes.

Remove from heat and let the mixture cool.

In a separate bowl, mix all-purpose flour, salt, and water to make a smooth dough.

Divide the dough into small balls and roll each ball into a thin circle.

Cut the circle in half and fold it to form a cone.

Fill the cone with the vegetable mixture and seal the edges.

Heat oil in a deep pan and fry the samosas until golden brown.

Serve hot with chutney or sauce.
