Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches have been a popular American snack since the early 1900s, and these energy oat bars are a delicious twist on the classic combination.

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish.

In a large bowl, combine the rolled oats, peanut butter, honey, chia seeds, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix well.

Press half of the oat mixture into the bottom of the greased baking dish.

Spread the strawberry jelly evenly over the oat mixture.

Sprinkle the chopped peanuts over the jelly.

Press the remaining oat mixture on top of the peanuts.

Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until golden brown.

Remove from the oven and let cool in the baking dish for 30 minutes.

Cut into bars and serve.
