In a large pot, heat some oil over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic, and sauté until fragrant.

Add the carrots, potatoes, tomatoes, and red bell pepper. Cook for a few minutes until slightly softened.

Stir in the chickpeas, vegetable broth, cumin, coriander, paprika, and cayenne pepper. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for about 20 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender.

Stir in the lemon juice and season with salt and black pepper to taste.
