Slice the bread into small cubes.

Peel and crush the garlic cloves.

Heat the olive oil in a pot over medium heat.

Add the garlic and sauté until fragrant.

Add the bread cubes to the pot and stir to coat them in the garlic-infused oil.

Pour in the water and add the salt.

Bring the soup to a simmer and cook for about 10 minutes, until the bread has absorbed the flavors and softened.

In a separate pot, bring water to a boil and poach the eggs.

Remove the bread soup from the heat and let it rest for 5 minutes.
