Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Once they splutter, add chopped onions, ginger, garlic, and green chilies. Saute until onions turn golden brown.

Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they turn mushy.

Add coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well.

Add cooked chickpeas and simmer for 10 minutes.

Sprinkle garam masala and garnish with fresh coriander leaves.

Squeeze lemon juice on top and serve hot with rice or naan.
